Onion Pakoda (Street food Style )

Crispy and crunchy onion Pakoda

These pakoda will taste amazing with hot cup of tea on rainy days/Winter days . Mostly we bought this in India at street shops. My husband’s favorite snack. Tried it at home , it came out almost similar to street style. When I started making it , I thought finally it will come out like usual onion pakora 🤣...




Recipe ✍🏻
Ingredients :-
✔️Besan/gram flour - 2 cups
✔️Rice flour - 1 cup
✔️Onion, thinly sliced - 1/2 cup
✔️Curry leaves , finely chopped- 1/4 cup
✔️Ginger, minced - 1 tbsp
✔️Green chilli , finely chopped- 1tsp
✔️Fennel powder- 1 tbsp
✔️Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
✔️Ghee - 2tbsp
✔️Salt to taste
✔️ Oil for deep fry
 


 


Preparations:-
✔️In a large mixing bowl, add rice flour and besan. Mix it well.
✔️Add sliced onion, ginger, green chili, curry leaves , fennel powder, red chilli powder, warm ghee and salt. Mix well or until to form a crumbly textured flour.
✔️Adding warm ghee or butter into the mixture makes it more crunchy .
✔️ Slowly add water (use less water) as you knead and form a stiff dough. It should look like a thick dough, ( for example chapati dough/Murukku dough/iddiyappam dough ) but not too sticky.
✔️ Meanwhile heat oil in a wok/kadai.
✔️When its ready, drop little portions in the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
✔️Drain excess fat in a paper towel.
✔️Cool completely and then store in air-tight box for up to a week.

SHRIMP SALAD


1. In a large bowl, add frozen corn or fresh corn



 

2.  Add salad tomato  and sliced avacado.


3. Add grilled shrimp (grill the shrimp with soy sauce, lime juice , salt and pepper )into it. 


4.  Now add sliced capsicum/green pepper.


5. Now add Lime juice.

6. Now mix it well and serve. 








 

Beetroot Milkshake

 



 

Ingredients:-
*Beetroot-1 small
*Cold Milk - 1cup
*Sugar as per your taste
*Salt - a pinch
*Ice cubes
 

.
Preparations:-

*Take raw beetroot and cut it into pieces. In a blender add beetroot pieces, sugar, milk, salt and ice cubes.
* Blend well to make smooth milkshake. Serve chilled in glasses.

BEETROOT DOSA


 Recipe:-

📌Ingredients
Beetroot - 1 grated
Dosa batter- 1 cup
Green chilli- 1
Salt - a pinch
 






Preparations:-
🖋Grind all the ingredients together.
🖋 Make dosa in tawa and add little oil.
🖋 Serve with coconut chutney.

French Fries

 Easy and Crispy Homemade French Fries made in the Air Fryer.

 


Recipe 👇
Ingredients:-
✔️Russet potatoes - 3 or 4 large
✔️Salt and pepper
✔️Olive oil
  


Instructions :-

✔️Cut the potatoes into 1/4″ to 1/2″ sticks using a knife.
✔️Rinse the potato slices well, then dry completely using paper towels.
✔️In a mixing bowl, combine potato slices, Olive oil , salt and pepper.
✔️ Arrange the seasoned potato slices on the bottom of your air fryer basket.
✔️ Now set it to 360° F temperature, it takes 18-20 min to cook the potatoes with a nice crispy texture. Toss the fries in between half way through.
✔️Once fries cooked well, transfer it to a large baking sheet lined with paper towels.
✔️Crispy and golden homemade air fryer french fries are ready.
✔️Serve with any dipping sauce.





BLUEBERRY JAM




Ingredients:-

🍇Fresh blueberry- 1 cup
🍇Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
🍇Sugar- 1/4 cup



 



 
Instructions:-
🍇Stir everything together in a large skillet then boil for about 10-15 minutes or until everything is cooking evenly, and nothing is sticking to the bottom of the pan.
🍇After 8-10 minutes, you should notice the jam reducing and starting to thicken.
🍇Transfer the finished jam to the jar. Store it in the fridge for 2weeks.
🍇Spread on muffins, bread or top with ice cream , yogurt or mix in smoothies.

Semiya Payasam (Vermicelli Kheer)


Ingredients:-

✔️Roasted Semiya/Vermicelli- 1/2 cup
✔️Whole milk- 2cups
✔️Sugar- 2tbsp
✔️Ghee-1tbsp
✔️Cashew nuts-10
✔️Cardamom powder- 1/2tsp
✔️Rose water- 1tsp
✔️Raisin- 5-6 nos



Method:-

✔️Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan and fry cashew nuts and raisin and keep aside.
✔️In the another pan , boil milk along with sugar and cardamom powder.
✔️Add roasted vermicelli and rose water bring to boil. Reduce the flame and cook on medium flame until the semiya is soft.
✔️Garnish with cashew nuts and pistachios.
