Ingredients:-
Ginger , chopped - 1/2 cup
Small onion - 3 or 5 nos
Dry red chilli - 2 or 3
Tamarind- small gooseberry size
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Salt to taste
Oil
Preparation:-
- Wash the ginger and peel it.
- Heat oil in a pan, add Ginger, onion, tamarind and dry red chillies and Saute on a low heat for 5-6 minutes.Turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Transfer this mixture along with salt to a blender and grind it to a smooth paste using little water.
- Heat the same pan with oil. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and urad dal and let it splutter.
- Then pour the seasoning over Ginger chutney.
