Medu Vadai

Urad Dal - 2 cups
Crushed Pepper - 1 tsp
Finely chopped Green Chillies - 2 or 3
Chopped Small Onion- 1/2 cup (10-15 nos)
Finely chopped ginger - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - few
Cilantro , Chopped - few
Salt to taste

1. Soak urad dal for 6-8 hrs.
2. Drain and grind it in a blender into a smooth flufy batter without adding too much water.

3. Now transfer the batter to a bowl.
4. Add crushed pepper, chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, Cilantro and salt. Mix well.

5. Heat oil in a wok.
6. Take lemon size batter and then make a hole in the center with a thumb..
7. Drop the vadas gently into the oil.

8. Deep Fry the vadas in medium heat until  both side turn crispy and golden brown in color.

9. Serve hot with Sambar and coconut chutney.
