Rava Upma

Rava/ Sooji - 1 cup
Small onion - 10-12 nos
Green chillies- 2 or 3 nos
Ginger, chopped - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Channa dal/kadalai paruppu - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Salt to taste

  1. Heat oil in a pan do seasoning with mustard,  urad dal ,channa dal and curry leaves and let them splutter .
  2. Add  onions, green chillies and ginger.Saute until the onions turns golden brown.
  3. Add 3 cups water and salt. Cook closed until the onion turn soft.
  4. Then lower fire to sim and add rava to it and mix well.
  5. Cover with a lid and let it cook completely. 
  6. Serve with Coconut chutney.
