- Channa Dal / kadala Paruppu - 1 cup
- Toor dal - 1/2 cup
- Moong dal - 1/4 cup
- Urad Dal - 1/4 cup
- Boiled rice - 1 cup
- Red chillies - 4
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Ginger paste - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Onion - 2 (Chopped)
- Green Chillies - 3 (Chopped)
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup (Chopped)
- Curry leaves - handfull
Preparation:-
- Wash and Soak channa dal,urad dal,toor dal,moong dal,rice,red chillies together for 3-4 hrs.
- Grind it coarsely along with red chillies, garlic and salt.
- The batter should be thicker.
- Add grated coconut, sliced onion, chopped curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves, turmeric powder, asafetida, salt ,ginger paste and little water into the ground adai batter . Mix Well. Set aside the adai batter to rest for atleast 30 mins.
- Heat a dosa tawa and pour 1 to 2 tsp of oil.
- Spread one ladle full of batter to a thick circular shape.
- Drizzle some oil around the Adai and cook in medium flame.
- After 4-5 minutes turn other side and cook till it become little crispy and well cooked.
- Then remove from the tawa and serve hot with chutney or sambar .
