Adai / Lentil Dosa



Ingredients:
  • Channa Dal / kadala Paruppu - 1 cup
  • Toor dal - 1/2 cup
  • Moong dal - 1/4 cup
  • Urad Dal - 1/4 cup
  • Boiled rice - 1 cup
  • Red chillies - 4
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Onion - 2 (Chopped)
  • Green Chillies - 3 (Chopped)
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup (Chopped)
  • Curry leaves - handfull 



Preparation:-
  1.  Wash and Soak channa dal,urad dal,toor dal,moong dal,rice,red chillies together for 3-4 hrs.
  2.  Grind it coarsely along with red chillies, garlic and salt.
  3.  The batter should be thicker.
  4.  Add grated coconut, sliced onion, chopped curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves, turmeric    powder, asafetida, salt ,ginger paste and little water into the ground adai batter . Mix Well. Set  aside the adai batter to rest for atleast 30 mins.
  5.  Heat a dosa tawa and pour 1 to 2 tsp of oil.
  6. Spread one ladle full of batter to a thick circular shape.
  7. Drizzle some oil around the Adai and cook in medium flame.
  8. After 4-5 minutes turn other side and cook till it become little crispy and well cooked.
  9. Then remove from the tawa and serve hot with chutney or sambar .
