Ingredients:
3. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cumin seeds, curry leaves, garlic and green chilli.
4. Now add onion and tomato and cook till mushy.
5.Add marinated shrimp and cover and cook it on a low flame for about 10 minutes.
6. Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, salt and sauté well.
7. Add coconut paste and cook until the oil separates.
8. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
- 30 Medium Sized Prawns
- Green chilli - 5
- Ginger (Chopped) - 1 tsp
- Garlic Cloves - 5 or 10

- Tamarind Juice - 2 tsp

- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Poppy seeds (Khus khus) - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
- Bay leaf - 1
- Oil
- Salt as per taste
Method : -
To marinate:-
1. Wash the shrimp and remove the spine of prawns with the help of knife. Add some salt on the cleaned prawns and keep them aside.
2. Grind the coriander leaves, 2 green chilli , 1 tsp of ginger and 1 tsp garlic until like a paste.
3. Marinate the Shrimp with the above paste and add chilli powder, corainder powder , turmeric powder and 2 tsp of tamarind juice. keep it aside for 30mins.
To make Shrimp curry:-
