Peas Masala Gravy


Dhoor dal - 1 cup
Peas - 1 cup
Coconut - 2 tsp
Chilli powder
Cloves - 1
Nutmeg - 1
Cinnamon - 1
Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1/4 tsp

For the seasioning:-
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp


To make Peas Masala Gravy:-
  1. Pressure cook Dhoor dal for 3 whistles and mash it well. keep it aside.
  2. Pressure cook peas for 3 whistles .Drain and mash the peas lightly. keep it aside.
  3. Dry roast the cinnamon, cumin seeds, cloves, nutmeg, coriander seeds and pepper for few more minutes. Grind it along with coconut and red chilli powder to a fine paste.set aside.

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste. Saute for 2 - 3 seconds.
  2. Now Pour mashed dhoor dal and add coconut paste  to it . let it boil for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Then add mashed peas and salt and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot with Masala Poori ChaatChappati and Dosa.
